D.1. Present the argument and general purpose of the project
Argument
The social-economical instability in Romania and the transition determined a lot of romanian parents to leave abroad for work so as they can keep their families. Of course that derived earnings are important for both families and romanian economy aspects, but this emigration has also bad aspects such as family disintegration and the "abandonment" of children at grandparents and other siblings with serious psychological consequences in time.
     The phenomenon of "orphan" children with parents is, probably, one of the most unexpected ones which are felt by romanian families. Unfortunately, the society is not prepared enough to counteract  these negative effects, so that it does not exist (until now) any formal system for emotional support for these children, who are more prone to psychological conditions and to social risks than the rest of the children.
     This project comes to admonish against home alone children's problems.
     The phenomenon of "home alone children" is disseminating, becoming not only a cursory life event,  but a psychologically unsettling event in family life and also in child's life whose effects will be damaging in future years.

General purpose/aim
 The development of a solidarity and social empowerment attitude towards people and groups who interact with children whose parents are left abroad for work by cultivating some psychological-social, affective and behavioral powers with the purpose to alleviate the psychological-social-affective impact brought by their parents departure and the development of some good activities of community implication adapted to this problem.

  • Creating a youth group with endeavour spirit and doing some volunteering activities in the cummunity;
  • The stimulation of a better communication through common recreational activities;
  • Building and consolidating communication and socializing skills with volunteers and also with other people in difficulty;
  • Organizing schoolwide activities with cultural-educative activities which can develop team spirit;
  • Organizing a information and advertising campaign in the community.

-debates and questioning the pupils regarding future activities and the level of implication of each participant;

                           - maintenance of the trees (irrigation, caving at roots, cleaning the base);

                           - AUTUMN EXHIBITION -making lay-outs, collages, natural materials paintings: kernels, pumpkins, leaves (in collaboration with the organizers of the Halloween show) .

The aim of this activity is a "ice breaker" regarding the communication teenager-adult on a theme linked with practical experience, organization, but also apprehension and risk situations in such conditions in which a direct support from an adult or both of them can bercave-as parents and in school, intimate, house life it becomes a hard to manage responsibility for two fragile shoulders. In an informal border, teenagers will share life stories, will ask questions, will look for answers, will find solutions.

g) Describe the activity:For the celebration of a century since "The Big Union", the commemoration of a few events with a big historical charge can determine among pupils awareness regarding predecessors' sacrifices. The Oituz Valley trip's aim is to visit Heroes' Cemetery from Bogdanesti, Heroes' Cemetery from Oituz, Cavalry Monument from Cosna hill and the Ethnographic Museum Oituz. Besides the didactic purposes, pupils socialize, move, do sport (walking about 6 kilometres).

                          - watching educative videos;
                          - presenting some steps for safety on Internet;
                          - application of some of the steps on personal accounts such as email, Facebook.

     f) Managers: coordinating teachers
     g) Describe the activity: The therapy through analogy is, actually, a spur for pupils to identify themselves as different literary characters or movie characters for increasing their self esteem, positive mood and the motivation through learning. Self esteem is offered, firstly, by family, but if it is not around because of their better paid job abroad, we considered that a "round-table" meeting would be necessary.
Each signed pupil will create analogies with literary pieces of work and with the character chosen who offers him motivation for self esteem, study regarding occupational success and also a good communication. Literature can represent drainless brook of positive examples of "paper being" who find their resources and ambition to go further.

     g) Describe the activity: in a festive border, the pupils with the managers, coordinating people and the representatives of the Non-profit Organizations and partner institutions will receive diplomas for the activities. We will finish the portfolio of the project and the final report of the project. The results of the project will be published by information systems.

Pupils from National College "Grigore Moisil" Onesti will get involved. Teachers from the College, also, will get involved, as many as available, to coordinate the activities.

F. THE PROMOTION OF THE PROJECT

G. MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT
The program of the activities and the achieved activities will be monitored periodical by:
-making a general activity report to contain: the number and the quality of the activities, number of participants, the way of promoting the project in school, evaluation etc.;
- written questionnaire for pupils and their parents involved in the project and for all the teachers from the project, regarding its course.
- discussions with the pupils in the project for establishing the level of satisfaction;
- the journal of the project (with all their impressions regarding the activities);
- articles published in magazines and newspapers , radio, television etc.;
The evaluation of the project will be made by:

  •  editing some CDs and DVDs with the considerable moments of the activities;
  • exhibitions with pictures taken in the project;
  • editing the brief of the project;
  • the portfolio and the journal of the project;
  • posters of the project;
  • volunteering diplomas;
  • feed-back questionnaires for each activity;
  • making an information place in the enclosure of the school;
  • tags.

H. WAYS TO ASSURE THE CONTINUANCE AND THE SUSTAINABILITY

  • Selecting some new participants to replace the graduated ones;
  • Attracting new people, teachers, parents, coworkers and partners for the project.


Argument

Instabilitatea socio-economică din România şi tranziţia au determinat pe mulţi dintre părinții români să plece la muncă în străinătate pentru a putea întreţine familia. Desigur, câștigurile obţinute sunt importante atât pentru familie cât şi pentru economia românească, însă această migraţie are şi aspecte mai puţin dorite. Acestea ar fi  destrămarea familială şi „abandonul“ copiilor la bunici sau la alte rude, cu consecinţe psihologice grave în timp pentru aceştia.

Fenomenul copiilor „orfani” cu părinţi este, probabil, unul dintre cele mai neaşteptate, pe care le trăieşte familia românească. Din păcate, societatea nu este suficient de pregătită să contracareze efectele sale negative, neexistând, până în prezent, nici un sistem formal de susţinere emoţională a acestor copii,   mult   mai   expuşi   afecţiunilor   psihice   şi   riscurilor   sociale, în comparaţie cu ceilalţi.

Prezentul proiect vine in întâmpinarea problemelor elevilor cu părinți plecaţi in strǎinǎtate. Fenomenul „copiilor singuri acasă” ia amploare, devenind nu doar un eveniment de viață pasager, ci un eveniment psihotraumatizant în viaţa familiei și a copilului deopotrivă, ale cărui efecte se vor resimţi in decursul anilor ce vor urma.

Obiectivul general /scopul: Dezvoltarea unei atitudini de solidaritate și responsabilizare socială a grupurilor și persoanelor care interacționează cu copii ai căror părinți sunt plecați la muncă în străinătate, prin cultivarea unor competențe psiho-sociale, afective și comportamentale, în scopul diminuării impactului psiho-socio-afectiv pe care-l are plecarea părinţilor asupra copiilor şi dezvoltarea unor bune practici de acțiune comunitară adaptată acestei probleme.


Obiectivele specifice ale proiectului


  • Identificarea copiilor cu părinţii plecaţi în străinătate şi cu situaţii financiareprecare;
  • Dezvoltarea abilităţilor de gestionare a problemelor de viață;
  • Consilierea elevilor ai căror părinţii sunt plecaţi in străinătate;
  • Formarea unui grup de tineri cu iniţiativă şi efectuarea unor activităţi de voluntariat în comunitate;
  • Stimularea comunicării prin activităţile comune recreative;
  • Formarea şi consolidarea abilităţilor de comunicare şi socializare cu alţi voluntari, dar şi cu persoane aflate în dificultate;
  • Organizarea, la nivelul şcolii, a unor activităţi cu caracter cultural-educativ, care să întreţină spiritul de echipă;
  • Realizarea unei campanii de informare şi promovare a proiectului în comunitate  
                                             
Grupul ţintă: Elevii Colegiului Naţional „Grigore Moisil” din Oneşti care au părinţii plecaţi în strǎinǎtate sau sunt singuri din alte cauze.
